Forward leaves club in order to pursue work commitments

The club can confirm that striker Robert Denness has made the decision to step away from Greenwich Borough in order to pursue work commitments.

Denness joined the club in the summer from SCEFL side Hollands & Blair and made an immediate impact, scoring 18 goals as he cemented himself as a key player, before coming to the decision that he was no longer in the position to fully commit to the Borough and Ryman League football.

Manager Gary Alexander praised the forward upon his departure, saying: "Its been a pleasure to work with Rob. I appreciate his honesty when coming to this decision and want to thank him for all the hard work and dedication he put in over the season."

Everyone at the club would like to wish Rob the very best of luck moving forward.
