The Borough Reserve Squad continued their great run in their first year in The Suburban League South with a consummate performance against East Grinstead Town at their home at Thamesmead FC.
The Reserves went into the weekend looking to keep up the table topping performances that have seen them go clear at the top in their inaugural season.
Looking to complete a double over East Grinstead having defeated them 3-2 at the end of October and hoping to build on their lead at the top.
It was fifteen minutes in before Greenwich got their noses in front with a goal from Jerome Wade.
It remained at 1-0 until just before the half hour mark when East Grinstead pulled level with a goal on 29 mins.
Borough were straight back in front just a minute later with a strike from Romayle Wade made it 2-1 on 30mins.
Just as East Grinstead were looking for half time our Reserves struck twice more in quick succession with a goal from Steve Jerrom on 42min and just a minute late Romayle bagged his second on 43min.

A steady start to the second half with The Borough having the luxury of a three goal cushion but this was further increased as Steve Jerrom netted his second and Borough’s fifth on the 60min mark.
A couple of substitutions followed with Stanley Ngagha replacing George Jones shortly followed by Romayle Wade being replaced by Billy Hollloway.
Jack Mahon made it 6-1 to The Borough on 70mins and Ramal Laka completed the rout three minutes later on 73mins.
